The Primitives - “Crash”
This single came out in 1998. It was The Primitives’ most successful single, charting as high as #3 in the UK and #5 in the US. The track is far from a household name, but many, many artists have tried to cover it. Most notably were Chloe, Matt Willis, The Mr. T Experience, soccer player Alexi Lalas, Luna C, Sandy Molling, El Canto Del Loco, Shebang, Scratching Post, Daisies and released today, Belle & Sebastian.
My question is: has a relatively obscure song ever had this many terrible covers?
