The Hold Steady = white people?
I just read an article by Craig Lindsey (a black man) titled “Learning about white people with The Hold Steady and indie rock”. It’s an interesting and potentially hilarious idea, if in fact the author a) views the cultural differences between black and white people as so, well, black and white and b) has been completely removed from white culture to this point in his life.

Uh-Oh: Raleigh Amphitheater
The last two shows I’ve been to were at the Raleigh Amphitheater. The location is great but are there any other selling points to this venue?
Cons:
The lawn is a joke. It’s very small, especially considering the back section of seats doesn’t sell out. Tip: buy lawn seats and move to the seats once the headline band starts. They don’t check tickets at the back section.
